Upcoming Events
Our life together is marked by consistent, persistent, insistent joy of fellowship in worship, fellowship, education and recreation. To augment our week-in, week-out routine, we pack a full slate of special events. Check the drop down menu at the top of the page (hover your mouse over the “Special Events” link in our menu bar) to see some already scheduled upcoming events.
All events publicized here are free and open to the public. We try to keep things friendly and fun, so even first-time guests will fit right in.
Some Special Events we’ve enjoyed in the past:
Church Cookout and Leap of Faith

Church members – and even some first-time guests – enjoyed an afternoon in the sun with a free summer cookout; plenty of music; pick-up ball games and a safe, professionally facilitated run through our Challenge Course Leap of Faith.
Many who took the jump used it as an opportunity to symbolize deep, invisible faith commitments they chose to make personally.
Church at the Pool (an Annual Tradition)

Every Independence Day weekend since 2007, we’ve enjoyed our annual “Church at the Pool” fun. Past events have featured high dive contests, the preacher in the dunk tank, awareness-raising gimmicks to help bring clean water to citizens of impoverished nations and more.
You can expect your Church at the Pool experience to be both chaotic and rewarding, a rare combination indeed! But then again, “church” and “swimming pool” is a one-of-a-kind combination too…
Valentine’s Day Concert

Good friends and excellent musicians Michael & Amy brought their Dueling Pianos act to San Diego for this special Valentine’s Day concert. One first-time guest who attended this concert joined our house band just two weeks later, serving a two-year commitment as our lead guitarist! We just love meeting new people!
Emergency Services Visit

Our Program Pastor arranged for a visit of local Emergency Services personnel and their equipment to our Wednesday evening Youth Programs.
The firefighters and police on scene showed off their gear, presented some important safety demonstrations and had to leave in a hurry as they responded to an emergency (Station #10 departs for an emergency, pictured above).
“Shepherd Sunday”

A local shepherd brought select members of her flock to our church one Sunday morning to share a real-life sheep farmer’s perspective on Jesus’ “Good Shepherd” sermon.
All the children – and many adults – enjoyed the one-time petting zoo outside the chapel, and the young lamb who accompanied “Pastor Janet” onstage for her presentation behaved himself quite well!
