Unchanging

I remembered a song this morning.

Tomorrow’s musical guest reminded me.  We used to sing it regularly, but as we go week to week preparing our music, songs occasionally fall by the wayside.  This songs was one of them.  Even Brandon Bee had forgotten this song, but heard it earlier this week and remember the powerful lyrics, the beautiful melody, and the timeless truth

Our God never changes.  He never has to!

Take a fresh listen now, or just come tomorrow morning to sing it with us.  And be sure to invite a friend: tomorrow is one of those special moments of family-building fellowship and joy.

By the way, thanks to this reminder, this song made it onto the list of forgotten Classics on our Music page.

Sunday Morning Sound Check – David Harsh

Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at the high stress life of the traveling musician.  David Harsh, on stage at the Kroc, thinks he’s working out the chords to this beautiful song in solitude; but the second he stumbles at the A/C#, he realizes he is not alone!

Catch David Monday evening – March 29, 2010 – at the Kroc Center for an free, intimate coffee-house style concert.  7:00 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room (dinner at 6:00 p.m. in the Education Building Courtyard).

In a Moment of Worship

God’s grace IS enough. God’s grace teaches us about PURPOSE.

God’s grace gives us the strength to carry us through the difficult times, and God’s grace gives us the conviction to carry us through the easy times.

As you praise God for his grace, may you demonstrate this grace to others around you. Give OTHERS the strength to get through their difficult times. Give OTHERS the conviction to get through their easy times without failing.

Live at Kroc Church 3/21/2010.

O Praise Him

SONG: O Praise Him (All This for a King)

Carried to the Table

Enjoy this beautiful piece from April 12, 2009.

Inspired by the story of Mephibosheth, a man blessed by David in Second Samuel, Leeland Mooring explains. “We’re broken people. We have sin in our lives and we outcast ourselves from God’s kingdom. But God’s love is constantly chasing after us, kinda like how David sought out Mephibosheth.

I think when we are taken in by God’s love, we are brought into his kingdom and brought to his table. We’re saved by grace. No one can see that we are hurt because we’re covered by the blood of Jesus. That’s so relevant to us even now.”
