This Change is Gonna Do You Good
Sep 1st
We’re changing a meeting time and upgrading a venue – all at once!
The Monday evening Celebrate Recovery program will start earlier (and end earlier) when we launch our new Monday Night schedule on September 6, 2010. Under the new time, the Courtyard Cookout will begin at 5 p.m. every Monday. We still offer low cost, professionally prepared meals (about a buck a thing) – now we’ll begin at 5:00 p.m. and serve all the way up to 6:15 p.m.
The Celebrate Recovery Speakers Meeting will meet at 6:15 p.m. in the Joan B. Kroc Theatre (with occasional special events in the Courtyard, the Garden, or the Multipurpose Room). Monday Night Bible Study and Open Share groups will remain in their existing locations, but will now begin 45 minutes earlier, at 7:15 p.m.

Let’s Eat! Heroes with a Heart Restaurant Schedule
Apr 13th
Friends,
We’re attempting to raise $70,000 in 30 days to support Kroc Center scholarships.
Attached is the easiest and funnest way to participate. Local restaurants have agreed to give us a percentage of their proceeds. Some are places you might go anyway, like Chipotle or Chili’s. Others are local Kroc Center staff favs. My favorites, in no particular order and with key dishes in parenthesis are: San Diego Desserts (killer Chicken Pot Pie and Red Velvet cake), Stockdale’s (the best sweet potato pie west of the Mississippi), Woodstock’s Pizza (incredible ‘zza) and Garden Fresh Grill & Smoothie (yummy pastry pockets). The attached flier is all you need to support us on the days listed! Tomorrow is Woodstock Pizza Day.
Or, if you want to help by making a personal donation, John and I have to raise $500 personally. We’d be happy to send you a pledge card and more information about this incredible program.
Blessings!

Corps Officer

Romans: Faith & Grace
Jun 1st
Our upcoming sermon series, Romans: Faith & Grace, is a progressive study through this book of firm declarations, powerful promises and challenges to experience grace in all its mighty power.
The final message – on August 2 – is titled “How Can We Lose?”. It’s good to know our destination right up front. By the time we’ve finished, th Epistle to the Romans will be for each of us an open book and a personal glimpse into how God’s leading in our lives becomes a sure guarantee of a life well-lived.

New Visitor Resources Online
Apr 8th
Check out the new “Planning a Visit?” page with lots of information for first-time guests to our place of worship.
One of the neatest features is the brand new map of our program area. You could print this out and use it in telling others about Kroc Church – it helps remove the biggest ‘unknown’ about a first-time visit, making this a useful act of service as well as a tool for spreading the message!
